<p>India’s skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, two of their top batsmen, were rested for the second and third games of the three-match series despite being available throughout the ODIs.</p>

In the meanwhile, when India takes on Ireland in a three-match T20I series starting on August 18, Jasprit Bumrah will make his team debut for the first time since September. The team’s standout pacer will also serve as captain during the bilateral series.</p>
