The Wimbledon 2023 victory against Serbia’s Novak Djokovis, according to Spanish number one Carlos Alcaraz, was one of his “happiest moments.”

On Centre Court, the 20-year-old Spaniard defeated seven-time winner Novak Djokovic with scores of 1-6 7-6 (8-6) 6-1 3-6 6-4.

Alcaraz achieved his first Wimbledon victory and second Grand Slam triumph in this way, depriving Djokovic of an eighth victory and 24th Grand Slam.

Since I first began playing tennis, Alcaraz stated, “I’ve fantasized of beating Novak and winning Wimbledon.

“This is the happiest I’ve ever been. I predict that it won’t change for a very long time.

In a time when players like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have dominated the sport, Carlos Alcaraz is most likely to become the ‘likely contender’ to succeed the illustrious three in the years to come.

Rafael Nadal, a fellow Spaniard and the current Clay Court champion, congratulated the new Wimbledon winner on Twitter.

Thank you, @carlosalcaraz. You have brought us great delight today, and I know that Manolo Santana, the father of Spanish tennis, has been applauding from wherever he is. Enjoy the moment, Champion, and a big embrace from me,” Nadal said on Twitter.
