The Meteorological Department in this city said on Saturday that rains hit numerous areas of Haryana, causing a drop in temperatures.
Hisar, Karnal, Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, and Rewari were among the locations in the state that had heavy overnight rainfall, according to the department's morning meteorological report.
According to the MeT Department, Punjab's Bathinda and Faridkot also saw rain.
Since May 24, rain has periodically lashed several areas of the two states, as well as its shared capital Chandigarh, providing reprieve from the heat.
For the previous three days, the maximum temperatures in the two states and Chandigarh have been somewhat below average.
